Here's some tips for playing sleuth.
1. As you know, to safely accuse, you only need one of the following:
- Evidence + Fake Alibi
- 2 Evidences on 1 person
The number of the stars doesn't matter.
2. One of the clues you find will correspond with the culprit. This means, in a case where you only find single clue, just keep hitting on the suspects (with fake alibi and correct attribute such as slim or curly, of course) and you'll find the culprit.
3. On Very Hard case and above, try to unlock all suspects house if you have the spare lock pick skills. With chance, you might encounter a document for a faction or a skeleton key (can unlock all kind of door).
4. The skeleton key take up 1 slot in your inventory. However, if your inventory is full, you still can store more than 8 items when you find a new skeleton key.
5. Avoid training these skills: negotiation, judge of character as these skill is much useless if you compare it with another skill. Keep the analysis skill to 1 for now, as you rarely encounter more than one clue of the same kind.
6. Avoid using Interrogation or Charm on any townies as it will reduce their favor on you.
7. The max number of suspects in a case is 7. Use this to your advantage when dealing with Very Very Hard case above, as the # Suspects won't be listed on the case file.
8. In a case, there should be at least 2 people with fake alibi.
9. Always use the TAB key when you search in suspect house to make sure you didn't miss anything.
10. This is just my opinion, but i think Very Very Hard case is much easier than Very Hard case. The only setback is that you can not see the number of suspects in the case file.
Hope it help :)
